Today we will tell you about such a place as Bolshoy Utrish. This is a village located on a cape that turns into a peninsula, which arose as a result of numerous landslides of Mount Utrish.
Near the peninsula, a small island was formed, connected to the peninsula by a bridge. The road to Bolshoy Utrish is a good mountain highway, so there are no problems at all with getting there. On the way, you will have gorgeous views of the mountains and juniper forests on one side, and the endless sea on the other side. Viewing platforms located along the highway will allow you to enjoy the panorama to the fullest, because the views opening before your eyes are truly stunning. Also, on the way to Bolshoy Utrish, you will see the so-called snake lake - a bay where fishing boats and pleasure boats, yachts are moored. Walking through the village, you will be surrounded by junipers, this territory is a nature reserve. In addition to juniper, you can find Pitsunda pine and hornbeam, oak and pistachio trees here.
The air in the reserve is saturated with floral and coniferous aromas, with notes of sea breeze. The beach of Bolshoy Utrish is rocky and not as smooth as ours, but at the same time comfortable for swimming for both adults and children.
If you go down towards the island, on the way you will find a dolphinarium, which this year has already turned 30 years old. In the dolphinarium you will meet sea lions, lions, beluga whales and, of course, dolphins.
Passing further past the dolphinarium, on the cape there is a lighthouse, which was built in 1975 in memory of the feat of the sailors of the ship "Fabricius".
