This picturesque place is famous for its beautiful pebble beach. Pebbles of ideal shape, in addition to comfort and aesthetic pleasure, are very useful and are used as stone therapy. The entrance to the sea is very comfortable, but take into account the fact that it goes quite sharply into the depths, literally starting from the 5th meter from the shore, so be sure to take life jackets or armbands with children.
So, what is interesting in Sukko besides the beach). Let's start, perhaps, with the main attraction – Lake Sukko (Cypress Lake).
This is an artificial reservoir, which is a unique ecozone of its kind! – and it turned out this way thanks to a bold experiment that was carried out in 1934. Part of the reservoir was planted with a certain type of swamp cypress – namely 32 trees. They have taken root very well in the lake and at the moment this place can be considered a small health resort, because the essential oils that literally permeate the air in the cypress groves are a natural medicine for respiratory diseases. So, we can talk about these beauties for a very long time, but in order not to waste your time reading, it is better to go and enjoy the moment in person. At the same time, you will learn many interesting facts there. By the way, there is a boat station on the lake, so you can get to the cypresses either on a catamaran, or on a boat, or in a canoe.
In addition to boat trips, you can ... fly over the lake! Yes, yes, the Zip Line system is installed on the lake!
The lake is fully equipped for a full-fledged rest. Lounge area, horseback riding, football, volleyball, cycling, beach tennis, badminton ... Beach ... oh yeah, we almost forgot - the Lake is a great alternative to the sea. There is a beach here!)) as well as playgrounds with slides, swings and a sandbox for the youngest guests. Of course, there is also a cafe and a bar). Not far from the lake is the castle "Lion's Head". This place is steeped in the Middle Ages, when knightly tournaments were held. The castle is designed for 1,200 spectators.
The unusual show program consists of several performances, such as knightly fights on horseback, beautiful fire shows, medieval dances of princesses.
There is also a museum of medieval torture in the castle. You can have a snack in the courtyard of the castle - dishes that are cooked there in the open air. In addition to the show, the castle hosts master classes for those who are interested in pottery. This is a great place to spend time with children, as everyone is delighted with the show program, with the castle itself, because there you can really immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. And there is also a small zoo in the castle, which will be just as interesting for children.
